Sundays

Sundays are great... sun shinning through the window on a cold brisk day, nothing to worry about, nothing to do. Kids taking a nap, feet up, coffee in the air, that's how Sunday's should be!
Having grown up as a Pastor's daughter, then a missionary kid, Sunday's were anything but restful being that Sunday's were always our "work" day, so from sun-up, it's go.go.go. but, there's always about those three hours in the middle of the afternoon that are filled with an unbelievable rest, a peace- have you ever experienced it?
Now, I'm a mom, a wife and minister so Sunday's are usually very buys and very chaotic. But somehow, I still find those few hours in the middle of the day that have somehow been set aside just for me and it's wonderful. There's no other day of the week that can offer so much peace even in a storm.
So next Sunday, drop everything and kick your feet, enjoy all that SUNDAY has to offer!

A friend and I were recently talking about how sometimes we get into situations where our words are just not enough to express what we need to say, and it is at those moments we desire to look deeper within ourselves, however, the words are just not there, the WORD is hidden and not wanting to reveal itself. It has always been a challenge for me to memorize anything, let alone a lot of Bible verses, but I try and I try, even if it's small, it's something! And as it has been proven, it rises up from within, at those precise moments when needed.
I was reading today in my daily Bible reading in Proverbs 5:1,2 "Pay attention to my wisdom; listen carefully to my wise counsel. Then you will show discernment, and your lips will express what you've learned."
Isn't that awesome! If you will just get in HIS WORD, learn and listen, He will take care of the rest!!!
